NSV-my daughter said I was skinny

I was picking the kids up from their afterschool sitter and my dd went out the door and I was behind the door. DS comes after her and opens the door wide and I said "oh I am getting squished" To that Em says "Barrett mom may be skinny but she can still be squished by the door!" My daughter called me skinny! Best Valentines day ever!!!! And the sweetest card from dh that says basically I got you something sexy for Valentines day and then you open it and there is a mirror and he wrote a note about how proud of me he is...........awwww So what about everyone else. Hi all....we had a rather quiet Valentine's Day. DH had First Responder class all eveining....so I went and had my nails done....and came home and put the kids to bed....had an AWESOME chat with Cyndi.....and then went to bed!!!!! Had an awesome chat with my pal Holly last night. Did breakfast with Mark and Britt before school yesterday. Had lunch wtih Mark and my bff Susie. Lone Star totally screwed up my food so I came home and had a shake. Brought one of Britt's pals home with us yesterday and did dinner at Cracker Barrel. Nothing special around here. It's kind of like every other day. I did buy myself a cute Valentine's shirt at Cracker Barrel the other day and had Mark take my picture in it. If he ever gets it off his camera I'll post it on my blog. We're off school until Tuesday so it's just kind of like another day around here. Hope you all had a great Valentine's. * Cyndi *

Cyndi sounds like a nice day! I wonder if your shirt from CB is the same one my friend bought.....if so I wanted that shirt!!!! I saw my surgeon today and told him about what my daughter said which he loved. and then he asked me what I thought about the magazine article I (well we) are in and I have not which he was suprised. I will have to get a copy. He wants me to show it to my husband and see what he thinks. Went and bought my supply of protein that I like for work days (when I do not have the blender with me) so whether I like it or not I must go back LOL! Donna

I purchased a "Wood Wick" candle a couple weeks back. The label said it gave off the soothing sound of a crackling fire. No, it was the sputtering and whining of a spoiled child. The thing popped and hissed and in the process spewed particles into the air to the point that it aggravated my sinuses. I gave it to my wife to burn downstairs. On Valentine's day I always get her something nice and she always gets me a card. Twenty five years now and she still thinks I'm going to live by my agreement to "not exchange gifts this year". Well, this year she got me a Yankee candle to replace the one I gave her. It seems like a minor thing but it really was one of the sweetest gifts she ever gave me. Really made my day. For those of you who are wondering, I gave her perfume. While I was picking it up I happened to notice P-Diddy or Puff Daddy or Sean Combs, whatever he calls himself these days, has a new perfume out called "Unforgivable Woman". The poster showed him kissing a woman's neck and the tag line said "A life without passion is unforgivable." So, if I follow the reasoning here, if a life without passion is unforgivable and the woman is also unforgivable then the woman has no passion? If I gave that to my wife, should she be insulted? I picked the Obsession instead. It's her favorite. And by Sean John's standards, she is *very* forgivable!

T.Rob nice to "see" you and how sweet of her to by you a candle. What a nice thought that was. I broke the "not exchanging rule" when I found a Halmark card that sings Martina McBride's "Valentine" which was perfect for him (and got him a big Reese's heart (since he is the only one of us that can actually eat chocolate LOL). He broke it to with the card and flowers. And I would say based on your "Unforgivable' theory that "Obsession" was the better choice!!! Donna
