Feeling a tad bit selfish...
Okay folks,
I've read many of your success stories and I'm feeling a bit selfish. I've been on a stall for the past couple of months (even though 15 pounds over two months isn't really a stall...I guess). When I read all of your great stories it just reminded me that if we do what we know works, this just works. It seems so plain and simple, yet so hard to get through my head. I feel like I'm really back on track and that I really got a lot more out of the cummulative total post than I had ever expected. Thanks for all of the great posts as it helped me get on the ball again.
So my plan of attack...I'm swearing off the unnecessary carbs as I know that is what gets me into trouble (more carbs seem to call for more carbs - yuk). I'm committed to more course foods that won't slide through the pouch so easily so that I can have that full feeling and maybe even that uncomfortableness of a packed pouch once in a while. I'm back to drinking my water more consistantly. I'm having more fish and chicken again. Keep tracking my calories and protein on Fitday. Come to think of it, I'm just reconnecting to what worked for me so early on this process. Also, once the spring weather arrives, I'll be out walking in the mornings again.
You know, I'm feeling better about this already just talking about it. There you go again...motivating me without even having to work at it. Thx
Have a great week you Maysters.
John
John,
I don't see the "selfish" in your post. If it's because it's about you and your desire to get the weight moving off again at a more consistant rate, as some of our compatriots have done, I find that t be a discussion, not selfish. By thinking this out online your helping those of us who are, have been or will be in the same boat. It's the nature of what we are all going through. Sorry to call you a "liar" in public.
I think your plan is good and sound - it's one e should all "go back" to when we have a stall. Another thing that seems to help is to stay away, as much as possible, from artificial sweeteners There are an awful lot of tasty foods out there sweetened with Splenda or aspartame or the "itols" and they, too, can cause weight to hag around.
Thanks for sharing this part of your journey and your resolution! I'm sure it will work out to your satisfaction.
