Plateau Buster....who is with me?
Cyndi, the reason that I am doing this this week is just that. I had made the commitment to change my eating habits and was eating just the basics like I should but had gotten to the point over the past 5 weeks ofbeing home of eating WAY too many slider carbs and not enough protien. And doing the supplements is nothing abnormal for me. I drink 45-60 gms of protein supplements a day and that is what my surgeons plan requires. I then do cheese, eggs and other soft proteins....my pouch just does not allow for too much other stuff.....but I can eat any carb with no problem. So in total I get 60-80 grams of protein a day. So by doint the plateau buster I will remind myself not to eat them.
We all have to do what is best for us!!!
As for artificial sweetners I have never been able to tolerate them much that is why I can not stomach the ready to drink protein drinks. I don't like crystal light or things like that much unless I am out somewhere. I have always been able to drink tea and coffee with nothing (no sugar or sweetners). And I just prefer water with lemon or limes in it to anything flavored with a sweetner.
So to me it is not restrictive it is how I should be eating.....again each is entitled to his/her own opinion and how they are handling there aftercare program. For me it is a way to get back on track.
