Check in time...
Hi Mayers - had my rny surgery on 5/29/07 and have had a total loss of 66 pounds, started at 242. Somewhat disappointed that I don't lose weight faster, I am following all the rules, protein, water, vitamins, walking a lot more, etc.
But I am thrilled also to have lost what I have, it feels so good to wear clothes that don't feel like a tent and to know that I look pretty good! One of these days I'll get a digital camera so I can post some pictures.
thanks for listening.
Deb
Hi, Deb, congrats on your 66lb. loss!! We share the same surgery date. I too get frustrated over being a s-l-o-w loser. I am down 87lbs. looking better and feeling good mentally and physically. I often have to remind myself that I cannot compare me to others. Although we are all on the same journey, we still differ. Take care and yes, get some pics to share with us.
Take care of you, April
Deb,
I know what you mean. I had my surgery May 7th. My heaviest weight was 237 and I have only lost 79 lbs. My doctor told me I would lose slower because I didn't have as much to lose, but it can still be frustrating at times. I try to just remember how good I feel and what size I am now wearing compared to a year ago.
Hope to see those pics when you get them done.

Hey mayers...
Had surgery May 9, 07 and original weight was 264 lbs as of this morning Im down to 138lbs so a total weight loss of 126lbs. Even though I wasn't a slow loser Im ready to stop losing now. Ive tried eating more, eating carbs (really just bread, I don't care for potatoes) and drink sooner after eating (which leaves me feeling miserable) so hopefully I won't lose anymore weight. So don't feel so bad if you are a slow loser cause you could be like me and can't stop losing.
Hey all,
My surgery date was 5/10/07 - best thing I've ever done. My highest weight was 311, I am now down to 210. I have been a slow looser-75lbs since surgery. Its been frustrating but when I think of it in total it still blows my mind. 101 pounds in a year! I am so much happier now and can do so much more now than I could before - and my knees don't hurt.
Congratulations to us all!
