Well, where are all of you? I know I don't usually post until Mondays, but I was doing so well this week that I thought I'd weigh a day early. Starting Weight: 347 Surgery Week: 300 Last Week: 211 This Week: 206 Weight Lost: 5 pounds Total Lost: 141 Weight from Goal: 16 I had a very good week. I really got excited about the new tortilla wraps I began using from WalMart - high protein and only 100 cals - about 12 inches in diameter. With the chewiness of the tortilla, I can use about half the food I was eating in November and December and actually feel more full since this stays in my pouch. I'm also pretty focused on on not having more than 500 of my 1100 to 1200 goal for the day by the time I'm finished with lunch. I'm still pretty religious about recording all on Fitday.com too. This gives me more to work with during the rest of the day. I'm not walking at all for the past two weeks. The weather seems to be breaking here, so I will be getting back out in the mornings. So, if you've had a good week, tell us what you have done that has made the difference. If you didn't have the greatest week, then tell us what you plan to do to get going again. This week I'm going to try pinwheels with my new tortillas. I'm putting crab meat and no-fat cream cheese as the filler...with a bunch of other stuff. Oh, and I've also added more vegetables to my diet. I think that we begin to focus so much on the protein that it becomes easy to forget that veggies can be a great filler. I'm also lighter than my dw. As you may recall, this was a major mental block. I don't say anything about it and she finally came out with the fact that I was lighter than her. I had so wished that she was going to share more in this process and actually be a part of it. She has actually talked about having the surgery herself. Maybe when I get to goal and actually stay there, she will consider it. Well, I feel better now about passing her since it was such a big mental block for me. Oh, BTW, I was meeting my wife for dinner last night and was late coming out of WalMart. I ran all the way to the car as I was pushing that cart...I felt like a kid...okay, maybe just a 20 year old...that is all I can hope for...LOL. Have a great week my friends, John

I found that it is harder to check in when you have maintained for the week. I'm certainly glad you did. It just means that you are that much closer to having that next exceptional week. There are weeks that I've just been happy to maintain. Just evaluate what you need to do to have one of those memorable weeks and you can go after it. You have done so well April; just keep up the good work. BTW...your total is 85 gone...wow, that is just great. John

Sue, I can tell that with that kind of determination, it will happen. We all know how to make it happen, it just gets so tempting to have that extra bite. You will do great. John

John, You are doing great!!!!!!!! As for weighing less than dw. I passed up dh a few years ago and was very pleased when I was less than him again. So I know your wife though happy for you is probably not happy with it so maybe she will join in wiht you. DH is watching what he eats now and we have plans ot go to the gym together once I am released to excercise. April and Sue hang in there. We are out of town visiting relatives and since my scale has not been cooperative LOL I left it at home. So I will not weigh until the am though I am not thining that it moved. Donna

Hi John! Thanks for starting the thread. I was sleeping in for the first time in years. LOL Well, as some/most of you know, I freaking hit GOAL on the 25th. It was way too cool to actually hit it *on* my surgiversary. After the almost two month stall, my scale is moving again. I've found though, if I eat a little more than I think I should, I do well. Honestly, I think I was eating way too little and that's why I was stalled. Who knows. My body has always been a bit strange. Here's my week! Highest right before surgery: 265.8 Day of surgery: 255 Last week: 152.0 This morning: 149.0 Loss this week: 3 pounds!!!! Total pounds lost: 116.8 pounds!!!!! Pounds until surgeon's goal: -1 pound!!!!! Have a fabulous week everyone!!!!! * Cyndi *

Congrats to those of you having wonderful weeks! I am stuck again, and it is so very frustrating. I can only think that I am eating foods higher in sodium right now, as I have a bad tooth...had it fixed, but it is worse now.....so can't eat/chew like I want to. Have been eating lots of soups with added protein. At least I did not gain, but I am stuck at 265 again. I wanted to be at 250 by Valentines day, but that does not seem possible now, so will work to be anything under 265. highest 397 Last week 265 this week 265 total loss 132
