I am sick to my stomach over the fact I have not lost a pound in months it's been since May 2007 and I have lost only 50 lbs and I keep gaining and losing the same 6 lbs. I dont know what to do?

Hi Melinda, I feel your pain. I too have been stalled for almost 2 months. I am discouraged, but also know that there is more I could be doing to lose those last pounds. I need to get moving more, but I am a walker and our weather in Wyoming has not been very condusive to getting out to walk. I know as soon as I do the scale will start moving, so I guess it is up to me. Hang in there and hugs. Sue

Hi Sue, thanks for responding to my post, I hope you are holding on to your weight loss. I have actually gained back some of my weight I am now back up to 195. I gain some and then loose some but never more than about ten pounds especially around my period. I am still doing the protein first, veges, then carbs and lots of water. I do not understand what is wrong. I'm now going to look into buying one of those recumbent stationary bikes so I can walk in the evening and try to add bike after ward or in the morning. Well I hope you get some sunshine soon so you can walk as well. take care and don't give up!

Well, where do I start? 4 months?...Wow...that's a long time and I don't blame you for being discouraged. I guess before I can even begin to give you any advice...I'd have to know where you're at now. What was your starting weight?...and where are you currently? What is your calorie intake like...and what does your surgeon/nut recommend for you at this point? Are you exercising? Taking supplements? Drinking enough water? All of those things play a huge role. If you think you're doing everything you could possibly do and not seeing any results...I would contact your surgeon. If you're not eating right...not working out, etc...I'd start with basics--and if you still don't see results...THEN contact your surgeon. Best of luck to you. We're all here to help! Courtney

Hi Courtney, Thank-you for responding to my post. I have not given up yet still trying but I think my window might be gone. I am seriously thinking about revision either lapband or ds. I will give it until my anniversery date and then dicide I should not be stuck here I think my body has gotten used to my food and exercise regime. Hope you are doing well with yours...... take care
