Edamame..... I just love that stuff. In case you have never heard of it like I hadn't, it is a dry roasted green soy nut. It has 130 cals per ounce and 14 (yes, 14) grams of protein. Then the added bonus is that it has 8 grams of fiber...just what I needed. I found my supply at our local healthfood store. I took it to our support group this morning and everyone seemed to like it. I found this over on the RNY message board when I posted about my need for some new food ideas to spice things up. I have a boost of a few other things that have helped me break the minor slump I was in. I'm ready to get it kicking again...we can all do it...let's keep it moving. John

I read about edamame too but I have to check with my PCP. Following my lumpectomy I'm not supposed to have nuts, caffeine, or chocolate. So, I'm not sure if the edamame would follow under that. Of course, I'm a WOMAN so how can I totally go without chocolate? I have to have my 4 M&Ms a day. LOL Yup, I put one in each of my vitamin slots. My hubby just rolls his eyes but there are some things I just can't do without. LOL I'll have to check my healthfood store and see if they have it. I'm sure by now store managers are scratching their heads over the new edamame craze. * Cyndi *

That is it...I'm switching doctors. I want a doc that lets you pretend that M&M's are vitamins. Get me his/her name so I can get him/her to write me out a GENEROUS precription. Take two M&M's and call me in the morning. LOL John
