Found out I am going to be having another surgery!

Yes, today it was confirmed that I will be needing another surgery. Won't go in to all the details, but bottom line (no pun intended) is that I have to have a hysterectomy and soon. It will be a stretch for us as some of it will be unpaid since I am still gathering time off from my other surgeries. But mostly it is that my doctor is insistent in the 6 weeks off and she even mentioned no walking. What is all this going to do to my weight loss efforts? Has me scared!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure excatly when the surgery will be or if we put it off past Christmas. But it will be soon. Donna

Oh, Donna, that sucks. Hopefully all will go well and she won't keep you bedridden. I hope you can do it after Christmas. That sure would be a crappy way to spend the holidays. You'll be in my thoughts. * Cyndi *

Cyndi, Thanks! the bedridden part is due to the "remodel" we are doing while she is there LOL! She said that even lifting a gallon of milk could undo what she has done. Ok, so maybe she is ultra concervative LOL! Still not sure right now if it will bet he 11th or if she will let me safely wait until after the holidays. I hope to hear that from the office on Monday.

Donna: Sorry to hear about the surgery, I hope all is well. Hopefully you can do it after the holidays that would be nice. Maybe after 4 weeks you can go back to walking I used to work in an ob-gyn office and usually after 4 weeks people started to feel better. take care and if there is anything I could do let me know. Thanks Amy! I am hoping she will ease up too but I will do what she says.....besides think of how great I will be able to do concentrating on my nutrition again. What more will I have to do LOL!

Hi Donna, That's the pits but just think.....no more Tampons or Kotex! Get some 5 pound weights and do bed exercises with your arms. Forget the legs or stomach exercises for a while but your health is important so do what the doctor says. You will be in my prayers........please keep us posted on how you are doing. Hugs, Esther

Thanks Esther! I am trying to see the positives in this. Great suggestion about arms....and boy do they need it LOL! I do have some scrapbooking projects that need to be finished so I am going to work on them. Will be nice to finally get my kids baby books done (since they are now 9 and 7 ) It is just that the timeing stinks!!! Oh well somebody forgot to tell my body that LOL! I am hoping to take some of the stress out of this and wait until after the holidays if my doctor says it is ok. There are so many commitments I have made with my children's school and my daughters Brownie Troop. Sigh oh well can't worry about that now. This is one way to make me take so much needed time off of life LOL! Ok, I need to get to my decorating. I have set strict deadlines to be ready for hte 11th if she says I can't wait. Donna

Yes it is true it will be the upside. As it was I was begging my surgeon to let me take something other than the tylenol that just does not cut it. So that will be a plus for sure!!! My friend said the adjustment though is tough and be ready for the instant mood swings......I have those already though so how bad can it be I have not seen my surgeon yet to fill him in on this latest chapter. We have our hospital Holiday Party tonight for employees and physicians so I might see him tonight. Speaking of which I better run as today's list is long and I still need to go buy shoes for tonight! I was saving my 6 month pics which are now 2 days late for tonight. I will post pics all dressed up!
