I'm NORMAL!
Hi everyone! I've been away from OH so I updated my ticker. Imagine my surprise that, at 164, my BMI was 24.9.........NORMAL!!!!! I'm in complete shock! I was 163.3 this morning. My doctor's goal is 150. So, mine is 149. While on vacation my MIL bought me a velour workout outfit at Walmart. I took in a 12/14 jacket and 12/14 pants. She "insisted" I take in the 8/10 pants too. I laughed and said why not. The 8/10s fit! I kept leaning toward the 12/14s but MIL and daughter kept saying they were too big. WTH???? I kept the 12/14 jacket because I'll have to wear sweaters or turtlenecks underneath. But, I still have the 8/10 pants here. I'm having my best friend look at them because I still think they're too small. LOL
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could go from 265 lbs to 163.3 lbs in just over 6 months! I celebrated my 6 month surgiversary on the road Sunday. Mark still has to take my 6 month pics. I'm making him do it tonight.
I would never be this happy or doing this well without you all. I love my May family so much! Thank you for helping me become "normal"!!!!

I can't wait either. I still can't visualize the new me. I have to get Mark off the sofa to take my pics. As a Washington Redskins lifelong fan, he's been upset all day. I woke him at 7 am with the news of Sean Taylor's death and he's been moping and watching TV and the Redskins' website all day. Hopefully I can get him to function and take my pics tomorrow.

Cyndi!!!!!! That is amazing news and how good that must have felt....the 8/10's Somebody got me tonight she always refers to me a s"how are you doing Slim?" as if that is my name. I always smile and just take it....though to me I am far from it but then I realize looking now how much smaller I am than everyone else! Wow that has not been the case in a LONG time! You are doing awesome!!!
Donna
Thanks Donna!!! You know you're doing great too, Shrinky Dink! Isn't it cool going from being one of the largest in the room to one of the smallest! It cracked me up at my SIL's house. My FIL is very thin and told me he's 13 lbs over his running weight of 143. I can't believe I'm just 7 lbs heavier than him! And, better yet, my MIL is 4 lbs more than me. I was the second smallest adult in the room!!! It was too funky weird for me. I have support group tonight and that's always fun. I LOVE talking with the people doing research and who are firmly pre-op. That *I* can give advice is awesome. I've gone from blending in to the wallpaper to actually talking and offering. This RNY has just done so much for me. I love it more every day!

Thanks Kathy! I was a good girl and got my 6-month bloodwork done this morning. Then, I went to check out a gym. I was happy to find out the owner/personal trainer there is someone I went to school with. She was so excited for me (she'd heard from another classmate about my surgery) and can't wait to help me tone the flab. lol Mark's going to look over the paperwork and I'll go back up and sign my contract. And, better yet, she's giving me an extra three months free! Woohoo!!! But, more importantly, she told me Britt can join too. I'd rather get her started on a much better path than I took. She loves being athletic so I think this will work well for her too. Things just get better and better! I'll be really happy when the bat wings aren't flapping in the wind.
Have a great day!
