Haven't been on the message board in a long while!

I forgot how great this site is! I read alot of your posts and its so nice to know I'm not alone in what we go through. I've had so many wow moments, I think the biggest is going in and getting a new drivers license picture since so many people kept giving me the double take. It was the best $11.50 I ever spent! I look so much younger! As for the negative, my Mom, Dad and Brother still don't say much about the weight I lost. It's like you had surgery so I guess I didn't have anything to do with the weight loss! It's so hard because my Dad was the one that every time I saw him he made me feel like crap because he would always comment about my weight and now that I look and feel so much better you think he'd be happy for me, but no! The weight sure has slowed down alot but I can't complain, I'm down 95 lbs and even if I didn't lose another pound the surgery was so totally worth it! It's so nice to hear that all of you are doing good as well, I wish you the best! Will get in the habit of going on here more often, you guys are awesome! Take care, Janeen

Welcome back to the May board! Funny you mentioned about a new license. I had to show my license to get a new library card last week. The librarian looked at me, the license, me, the license and back again. LOL I think it might be time for me to get a new one too since I can't imagine my face getting any smaller. lol How sad that your family isn't supportive! Is it maybe because they just don't know what to say? My mom doesn't say much and I asked her why. She told me she's shocked and doesn't want to hurt my feelings. I guess people didn't realize how HUGE I was before. Now that I'm in a 12 from 26, they don't want to mention it. lol It's weird but that's what a friend told me today. They don't want to act shocked even though they are. It's kind of a "happy" shock I guess. Best wishes to you in continuing your journey!!! * Cyndi *
