Do I tell??
Awe...how sweet of you Chantal!
I figured- wait till you figure out if it will even go anywhere, make sure you really like him. I'm sure I'll be able to figure out when it's the right time to tell him.
You are right, though- I do deserve a good man! I'm finally in a place where I feel like that is true- not that I just need whatever man would accept me in my fat body.
I will keep you posted- keep your fingers crossed for me!!
Kathy
I'm so happy, happy, happy for you! I'm an old married chick so Mark's been with me from chubby to morbidly obese and now within seeing "normal". You'll know if/when the time is right. Yes, it is a huge part of our lives and, as others have said, you're definitely a cheap date. Mark loves taking me out now. We just ask for another plate. He loves it.
I wish you all the happiness in the world!!!!!!

Kathy only you can decide when the time is right to tell......if ever.......but I will share my experience with you.......Before I had my surgery I was chatting with a gentleman online, but just did not feel like he really wanted to make a connection, so I let it go. I had my surgery and he popped back into my life and we started talking again. I let him know that I had been looking into weight loss surgery prior to us chatting, and stressed that you had to be 100 pounds overweight to even be considered for this surgery. His reply was that what ever it took to be healthy.....we have since met and he is very supportive of my decisions to get healthy. We are in the very first stages of a relationship, but so far so good. I hope that you have a great ride what ever you are hoping for develops. Good Luck Gayle
Congrats Kathy....I know what you mean by telling someone whom you are interested in "Hey dude I had gastric bypass" and it is going thru your mind "what are they going to think about me...but if they truly are the right person they should like you for you not for what you use to look like...but the YOU AND NOW ...that sounded wierd, but you know what I am saying,,,,but being heavy and dating is different than now...guys acutally check you out and come up and talk to me now... i am still shy deep down in side and i have to get my other me out in the open for everyone to see.
But you will know the right time...if he freaks out well you can always say "YOUR LOSE"
