I hate to complain but I'm really confussed
I had surgery in May of this year and have lost 50lbs. I started out at a size 16 and am now into a 6. Sounds great but I'm still at 162 lbs. I am 5'5. This doesn't sound right. I have been at this weight before but I was in a 12 or 10. Have sizes changed that much? I am exercising 2 to 3 days a week but I still have a lot of sagging skin on my legs and tummy. I'm just wondering what size I will continue to shrink to.
You have done very well at the weight loss and let me tell you I also lost around 50 lbs I am teetering with 7 lbs up and down and only went down from a size 20 to a 18 and on a good day a 16. So be very happy! Im 5'6 and started at 247 I also had my surgery in May. Goodness I cant wait to get close to that size!
It's all about body type. I always seem to "weigh" heavier than I look. People are surprised when I tell them my weight. I have lost 70 lbs and I am 5'1". I went from a 20 (pushing a 22). I am currently in a 14-16 and weight 167 lbs, and could still lose about 20-30 lbs. So, I don't ever think I will be in a single digit size, which is ok with me. I feel great and I am so happy.

P.S. My surgery was May 7th.
I too have wondered about this. I have lost 63 lbs and currently weigh 143. I am 5'2" and wear a size 8. 15 years ago I was down to this weight and could wear a size 8 in Lee jeans. I think alot of the sizing now has to do with if they have a little spandex in them or not. I have never in my adult life or even my teens been lower that that size 8 and I am curious to see where this journey will take me and I hope where ever I end up that I will be able to maintain it. I would be happy right where I'm at if I can maintain here. Hugs, Sue
Hi Lisa,
You are probably losing inches like crazy. Some people lose more inches then actual weight and then all of a sudden you will see a big weight drop. You are probably built different then you were before. I know my body has changed shape since having children and getting older (I am 60 years old) and I can get into clothes that I couldn't when I was younger yet I weigh more now then I did then.
Hugs,
Esther
