Ok, so I don't post much but I read your success stories everyday. I have Lap RNY May 21, 2007 and to day have lost 55 lbs. I have 70 more to go and have been stuck and the exact same numbers for 3 weeks. 206.4! the exact same number! How Much longer do I hve to look and that number. I wake up in the morning jump on the scale and I already know what it is going to say with out even looking down. I have really been working on what i am taking in. I have increase my protein, and H2O. I am truely trying to fit in some sort of moving everyday. I am a VERY busy lady. I just want so bad to be under 200lbs and the past 3 weeks have been such a tease. Can someone help to motivate me or tell me something to help change these stinkin numbers. Thanks, ~Chris Tapia~

Hey Chris- My advice is trite but stay the course. Eat right, exercise , drink your water, take your vitamins. You are probably losing inches...have you checked? It's not unusual to have a plateau last that long. You are not alone. Your body probably remembers this weight as a set point. If you are doing what you are supposed to be doing you will lose weight. You can try that Plateau diet that was posted recently. Patti

Chris, I try to keep things simple, but I track two things very carefully. The amount of protein I take in each day is very closely monitored. As a man, I keep mine at 90 grams. I also stay at 1000-1200 calories. The biggest help is my fitday.com program that keeps me in check. I agree with all of those things and when I have a bad week I go back to my trusted friends....chicken and fish. When I keep those protein levels up, I don't get nearly as hungry. Your comment about "some sort of moving" everyday seems a bit vague. I feel pretty busy too, but I have plenty of elbow room in our little town when I'm out walking at 4:45 am. I only have time for a two mile walk, but that keeps the scale moving too. Setting time for planned exercise is going to be a key to long-term success, so try to embrace it if you have not already made steps to do so. Hang in there and try not weighing every day. I know the temptation is great. I weigh once a week on an offical doctor's scale and that keeps things in a better perspective. I do use a small scale at home, but I just use it to see what the trend might be for the week. You will be reporting back great success in just a week or so. Let us know about that great loss that is heading your way. Just remember, you cannot faithfully consume 1000 calories a day and not lose weight. John
