Take me off that list!!!
That's it; please take me off the list of those who are obese in the world. I successfully reached my next mini goal of becoming just plain old "overweight". Who would have thought that a person could get so excited to be called overweight?
I had another shocker when I stepped on the scale to drop 5 pounds this week. I only lost a pound last week so I was expecting a 2-3 pound loss, but 5 to put me down off the obese list is a happy day.
Is this real? I keep thinking that I'm going to wake up and find out that this was all just the cruel trick of a dream. So far, I pinch myself and it still inflicts pain...and believe me I have plenty of new places to pinch i order to try it out.
As an added bonus, I also get to go to a doubleheader this evening. My two sons are the starting quarterbacks of our Junior High and Junior Varsity teams. The way that it is scheduled is that one game is at 5 pm and the other is at 7 pm and they are both being played at the same location. Like I said when I worked my summers in a cherry factory, "that's just peachy in a cherry factory".
I really hope all of you are doing well. This is another one of those memorable days along my (our) journey. I have only 37 more pounds to hit my personal goal or 190.
Have a great week....keep knocking down those pounds.
John
Congratulations John!!!! You've done so incredible! Welcome to the "overweight" gang. This time last year did you ever think you could be this happy??? I pinch myself all the time. Now my bff/walking partner pinches me. LOL If this is a dream, DO NOT wake me up!
I can't wait for the day when you post you're at goal! We gotta have a chat that night! Hmmm....wait a second. 37 pounds is what I have left to my goal too!!! You're on!
Congrats to the sons too. Hope both their teams kick butt!

YEA JOHN!!!!!! We are taking you off the list...Isn't it a great feeling..I too hit that this week lol. Kinda crazy how fast everything is going. How our outlook on our bodies can change in just a matter of months. Makes all it worth it. We had a party for my hubby yesterday he graduated college and so we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselfs. There was all this candy and cake and it didn't even bother me that I didn't eat it..I didn't even want it..That is the best feeling of all...ok enough about me. I really am happy for you! Keep up the great work your really an inspiration to us all!
Hugs
Rebecca
Way to go, John! If I were in your class, I'd give you an apple. Wait...we don't celebrate with food anymore. That's not appropriate.
OK, how 'bout I give you the clap? No wait, that's also not appropriate.
Now I'm skinny all my social norms are messed up. Let me go off and think about how to best congratulate you. Can I get back to you on this? This weight loss thing is more confusing than I thought.

I want to thank all of you for the kind words. I read T.Rob's post and agree that the May board is my internet-based family and I look in on you more often than you know. I always feel rushed when I'm here, so this time I'm going to make a couple of comments. You are all a wonderful bunch of people that I'm proud to know all of you and can appreciate first hand how hard you are all working and the wonderful rewards that you are gaining.
T.Rob - Every single apple I have at our house eventually has a worm in it. Actually the Wurm has an apple in it. With the last name Wurm, you learn to throw the first punch when it comes to joking about your name.
What a very blessed group of people we are to have had this opportunity in our lives. Then to top it all off, we have a great group of people that we are able to share it with..the good people here at the May 2007 board.
May you all continue running toward that goal.
John
