WOW moment!
I went for my B12 shot this morning and as the nurse looked over my file her jaw dropped and she said "You had gastric bypass surgery?!" And I nodded. She asked me how much I had lost and I said 85 lbs. I thought her eyes were going to pop out of her head, she said "You were 85 lbs heavier? I would have never guessed it, you look so normal!".
For someone who still thinks of herself as big...I've certainly never been called "normal" before! It's funny too because just last night my best friend was telling me that she doesn't even think of me as overweight anymore.
That is really fantastic. I know sometimes I walk into a store and I people are just so much nicer our to me and I think I bet they have no idea what I have done to get here. Your not the fat girl anymore your the beautiful wonder women you always dreamed of being. You have worked so hard I hope you are enjoying the new found you! Hugs

Way to go Chantal!!! I was doing my walk tonight and a guy told me to "work it!". I told him I HAD to walk my 4 miles. He goes "nah, you CHOOSE to walk 4 miles". I said, "Nope! I had gastric bypass and I'm not stopping at just 87 pounds off!" He was in shock and told me there was no way I'd had it. LOL I ran into my PCP at Walmart and he was in shock. He hasn't seen me since June so watching his jaw drop was pretty cool. I love my RNY more and more every day!

lookin good chantel, i feel the same way i guess its just that i was fat all my life and now im not its funny though how people in public perceive you i had to show my drivers license to a lady when i used my credit card and and she told me that "you dont look like the type of person that would be fat"whatever that means
