the weight is slowing down i need to speed it up again to make goal by monday!
Know I shouldn't be sad or anything but for the past week and a half the scale has been going down and up with the same 3lbs and it is making me nuts!!!! I get so frustrated cause im doing everything im suppose to, I just don't know how the scale can go up a pound or two. The 24th will be 4 mos since surgery and I wanted to be down 100 lbs by then it was my own personal goal. I have lost a total of 135lbs (I lost 40 before surgery on my own) has anyone had this problem with the 2 or 3 lb gain, with not doing anything different? Im freaking out over it! Thanks ahead!! Oh yeah I was tihinking of doing just a liquid diet for about 2-3 weeks how we did when we were post-ops. Start drinking all those protein shakes again,. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks
Tiff, you're a day before me and man did my loss slow down. I went back to just eating protein and protein shakes and water. Holy cow! I've lost 4.6 pounds since Sunday! I saw my surgeon today and he gently "reminded" me that we all go through stalls but that stalls are good. I didn't quite get that one but he told me it's nature's way of our body playing catchup and everything adjusting. He told me to hang in and that my 4.6 loss is my body's adjustment. Now if it could just "adjust" like that every week I'd be a happy girl.
Hang in there Tiff! Things will start moving again!!!

First of all, stop weighing yourself so often. Once a week is good enough. I was making myself nuts with the ups and downs and now that I am weighing once a week I have found that I am losing 2-3 pounds a week. When I was weighing myself everyday, I was getting depressed.
When I was at a plateau for a week, I started taking fiber and man, the weight started coming off again. You are doing great with your weight loss. I have lost 75.5 pounds and thought that was good. Keep up the good work.
Hugs,
Esther
