Anyone Depressed?
T.Rob,
You should be a Psychologist....you hit the nail on the head. I guess I am having a hard time reacting to the new comments and my personality consisted of making fun of myself as a fat person and I don't know how to react when I get compliments. I don't have a come back except thank you. Also I had a love affair with food and my love affair came to an end. There are many factors that have changed my life so much and I guess it is going to take some time to adjust to it. I didn't think about all these life changing situations until you mentioned them. Thank you for helping me realize it.
Oh and by the way........you look incredible. Wow you have lost so much weight. I was excited when I weighted in today here at work. I am down to 208. Boy was I happy.
Love ya,
Esther
Big hugs to you Esther! I too have gone through a month of ups and downs. I do feel like the honeymoon period is over...but like Cyndi mentioned, at 4-6 months is probably when you start missing that friend named food. Instead of eating our problems away, we're forced to feel every emotion, which can be heavy at times. I know when I get upset, I just pace around the house because I know eating won't fix whatever issues I'm having. Also, any other diet I've tried in my life, right about now is when I would typically fall off the wagon and start sabotaging myself. Could be a mix of many things.
Speak to your doctor if you're really concerned, but hang in there, it will pass! You're doing an amazing job Esther and you should be so proud of what you've accomplished. Don't be hard on yourself about feeling down sometimes, we all have those moments.
You are right Chantal, we can't turn to food when things go wrong or fall off the wagon anymore. Our love affair with food is over and that is something we will have to get used to. I am feeling better today because I am down to 208 so I am only a few pounds from Onederland and that is exciting to me. Thanks for letting me know that everyone goes through these depressed times.
We have life changing things happening to our minds and bodies and we can't get used to it overnight. In time, I am sure we will be fine.
Love ya,
Esther
i know all too well what youre going through esther....i've been taking medication for depression with a touch of bipolar for over 10 years....it's why i gained all my weight to begin with! food just isn't fun anymore....it gets kind of depressing but i feel healthier and look better...after all nothing tastes as good as being thin...i'll tell you though my hormones are running amuck! i don't really get depressed though i get psychotic! lol doesn't help that i'm perimenopausal too i guess...lol don't let yourself go through depression too long though....it could be a chemical imbalance and meds do wonders believe me!
Hi Liz,
I guess it doesn't help being a woman either because we have more emotions then men and this drastic change in our bodies and minds will take time for us to adjust. I am also menopausal which also doesn't help. Today is a good day though, I am feeling good because I am down to 208. I am getting close to Onederland.
Have a good day too.
Hugs,
Esther
Honey,
I look at your beautiful face and can't believe that you are having such a hard time. First of all you need to get yourself immediately on vitamins and also take a Q10 Enzyme and Gelatin capsules to help with the baldness. I haven't lost any hair. We are all flabby so don't feel alone and you look very young so the skin will shrink some. I am 60 so I am going to have to have some of mine removed surgically.
You really need to get the 64 ounces of water into your system. It's not to late Carol so don't give up, please. If you don't like water, get the Crystal Lite packets that you can put into a bottle of water and it tastes great.
I take a one a day multivitamin, B12, Iron, Calcium, Q10 Enzyme, Gelatin Capsules. Go to Wal-mart where they are cheaper and get started on them. That alone will make you feel better.
Talk to your Shrink too because all of this depression is normal for us and you will be okay honey so please just hang in there and keep me posted on how you are doing.
Love and hugs,
Esther
Hi Carol,
If you have any clerical experience, go to the school districts and apply as a clerical substitute. That's how I got my full time job. I started out as a substitute and they liked me and hired me. The pay is good too.
Everything will work out, just believe in yourself. I believe in you.
Hugs,
Esther
