Update on me....

For those that are following....I went to the DR expecting to get this stent out and then walk away pain free and happy as a lark.....not the case. Seems the reason that I am having such a hard time is because he said I am having a rare reaction to the stent in my bladder. He said it is very swollen and extremely irritated and will continue to be miserable for the next few days. He said this is a "Labor Day" I will remember for a long time. ERRRRRRRRRR!!!! He did say that the kidney looks good ....there are still fragments to pass but because of the reaction my bladder had he had to go ahead and remove it and let the rest pass on their on. He said normally once he removes the stent the patients feel better.....I acutally feel worse. Oh well at least I have my laptop! My mom comes in tomorrow to be here a few weeks to find a job......it will be to a dirty house and I just have to let it go. I will have dh help with the bathrooms and vaccuuming at least and I have managed to do laundry. But the DR said he does not think working tomorrow is a good idea. Work will not be happy.

Ugh Donna. I feel so bad for you! Work will just have to deal. Don't do anything you're not supposed to do. Dh can help and mom will just have to deal. You know moms. I'm sure she'll start cleaning. Mine does it all the time. LOL She flipped when I started lifting hampers the day I got home from the RNY. Just do whatever you need to do to feel better. That's what's important. I just will have lots to catch up on when I get back LOL! DH helped clean a little but I am the type that was just....oh I can mange tomrorow....so I will jsut have to pace and see.

Thank You that is very sweet! I called the dr on friday because that was my last day of meds. I asked the nurse for pain meds and the bladder medicine until at least Tuesday until they opened. Only pain med was called in and only for 2 days. ERRR! Thought the doc must not want me on the meds to help the bladder spasms but thought it was odd becuase he told me to stay on it through the weekend. So tonight at 9 when I had been all day without it I called the service and had him paged. He said the request got to him as I wanted just pain meds for only 2 days. Which he thought was a weird request but he called it in. I told him no I said I needed mostly they other med. He said actually he would much rather see me take that one and not the pain med (I told him pain meds were doing nothing). I said I was TRYING to go to work tomorrow and he thought he was being cute by saying "well, it is LABOR day weekend" Ha! Ha! Very funny not!!! But actually I am feeling a little better. Even went to Sam's shopping for my daughter's bday party next week. So I am going to be back to normal soon. We will see what I say after working 12 hours tomorrow LOL! Thank you again fo rhte offer!
