Finding those shining stars

Hi everyone, I've decided to look ahead into the future. In order to do that I've searched for (and found) several samples of shining stars that had surgery about one year before we did. I've found a few that are either at thier goal or starting to close in on it. I know that I've missed many in the May 2006 group alone, so if you find any others, please feel free to add them. I've learned a lot by reading several of these posts today and what to expect in the months ahead. It looks like it will be a long, slow, road, but worth taking that journey. What a fun thing to do! I'm lucky in that I have a Shining Star right here in Orlando at this conference. I keep trying to get her on here! When Mark, my husband, met her in February 2006 she was about 300 lbs. She had her RNY in March 2006. By the time I met her in August 2006 Mark didn't see her. She had already lost 100 lbs.!!! So, she knew what time we'd arrive yesterday and "just happened" to be in the Lobby here at the Dolphin when our limo arrived. First thing out of her mouth to Mark was "WHERE'S CYNDI?????". LOL She told me she's down to 170 lbs. now All I've heard from her (during the few breaks we get) is "have you eaten? are you taking your vitamins? I have a powerbar if you need it!" lol What a mom! But, she has a ton of great hints and we email often. She was so excited, yet bummed, that I'll probably hit 199 while I'm here. We're trying to find the Fitness Room so we can WoW together.
