ok yes it's me again to whine...
it's been 3 mo today since my rny and it just seems that the weight loss is going soooooo slow....i started out at 280 and i'm down to 228 but i just feel that i should be losing faster...i only take in 600-800 calories a day (including my protein shake) and i do circuit training for a half hour and according to my food log analysis on calorie-count.com i'm getting an "A" in nutrition (they really do grade you) so i don't understand what the hell the problem is....ok i'm done...just needed to vent....thanks...lol
I hate to break it to you Liz, but there is no problem. You are doing just great and if you continue on your current path, you will have long-term success. YOU HAVE JUST LOST OVER 50 POUNDS IN 90 DAYS. That is over a half pound a day.
I hate to tell you, but if you are not happy with that, then you better brace yourself for the next 6-9 months when it will slow down even more. This is the story of the turtle and the hare. You think you want to be the hare, but in reality you want to be the turtle. Only after it is over will you realize how fast this process really was. I encourage you to read the posts from the May 2006 board. That will help you gain that proper perspective. They say things like, "I can't beleive how fast that entire process occured". Feeling like it is going slowly is only a temporary feeling from all the stuff that I've read.
YOU ARE DOING GREAT...SO SET THE GOAL OFF TO THE SIDE FOR NOW AND DON'T MISS THE FUN OF THE JOURNEY ITSELF.
John
Hi Liz,
I am only a few weeks till 3 months also and i have lost 42 pounds to dat, so I think you are on the same track, or doing better then me. Everyone is different, just be patient the weight did not come on over night and it isnt healthy to lose it too fast. So I am just happy that I am losing it and I am remaining healthy. Keep up the good work! Hugz Tina
Liz, you are doing a great job. What other time have you ever lost weight like this, in that amount of time? For me. never!! Everyone loses at different rates. Mine is a little slower, because I don't have as much to lose as some. I don't go by the scale. I go by how my clothes fit and how I feel.
Keep up the good work!!!
