Hello all....I have been reading all your posts here but had yet to post anything myself. I have not lost anything this week. I know everyone is probably rolling their eyes.....here we go again...... Not sure if this is going to be my first stall or what? I have lost 53 pounds since May 8th. I feel really good and the clothing sizes are dropping little by little. I exercise everyday and am trying to use my tool to the best of its ability....but I am not perfect and admit it now!!!! How do you get the thinking out of your head that when the scale stops moving that it is done and over for you? Looking and reading I see that it is probably not true.....but that is what my brain keeps fretting about. I am almost halfway to goal and so want to get to onderland.....and to the century club....will I ever make it. I know next year at this time I will read all these and just chuckle and wonder what I was fretting about....but for now I am super scared!!!!! Thanks for letting me ramble..... May 8th 258 Today 205

I know how your feeling and it my be a stall or may just be water weight hanging around. I have only been losing around 2lbs a week and its taking forever when others are losing 5+ pounds a week. I don't know if we will ever get our head around the idea that this will work for us. All we can do it the best we can and know that this is gods plan and we didn't gain the weight overnight so why would we expect to lose it that quickly. Think about what you would have done if you would have gained 53lbs in 3 months? freaked out and ran to the drs saying something major was wrong right? Well just give your body a chance to do its thing and never feel bad for posting something like this needing support! That is why we are here because I know everyone has days when they feel like you do! I know I do and when I feel like this I post because someone else is having an up day and are willing to take the time to tell me its all ok! Hugs Rebecca

My surgery date is May 23. I have not lost a lb. in almost a month. I lost 55 lbs. the first 7 weeks, then nothing since. I have no clue what's wrong. I know I can't eat much. I would guess my calorie count each day is about 600. I'm going to the doctor at the end of August, so I guess I'll know what he thinks about it then. P.S. My sister had WLS in February and has only lost 39 lbs. total. Her doctor don't know what to think. We're both just shocked.

If you have not heard it yet, I'm going to recommend fitday.com once again. It literally changed the way that I began to lose weight. One of my friends at OH told me about it when I was in the pre-op stage and trying to lose weight on my own. During that time, I thought I was eating about 1500 calories and when I started recording it, I was amazed to find that I was closer to 2500. Wow, what a shocker. Fitday has a free web-based program, but I purchased the $20 version that is far superior. I spend maybe 5 minutes a day logging my foods in. I go to bed at night knowing that I stayed within my target (600-800)...okay sometimes 900..I admit it. This is pure math and if you stay on the targets, the weight has to fall off. I also add a bit of exercise and it comes off consistantly. I don't see the 5 pounds per week either, but like last week I had a 10 pound loss. I was stalled for about 3 weeks and then finally it let loose. I could feel within my body that good things were happening, but the scale would not prove it. I encourage all of you to simply enjoy the journey. Speaking from experience, getting to your final goal will not be that much more fun than it is right now...that is if you are enjoying the "new you" presently. Also, I broke my last stall with cabbage soup. I actually don't see it on my approved foods list, but I still eat it. I boil up a head of cabbage and mix it with several herbs like basil, oregeno and a bay leaf. I also add 5 bouillion cubes and make this come out to about 7 cups by adding water. I then put it through a blender to make it smooth. It comes out to 40 calories per cup and I have one of these servings as my snack for the day. It has also been helping my exit strategy with everything staying a bit softer (how is that for subtle?). No more Milk of Magnesia or Benefiber since I started this. Okay, enough for now. John
