I know it's hard, but try not to compare yourself to others. You are on the right track and you gotta let your body do the hard work for you, just keep doing what you're doing...you will get there! 40 lbs in 2 months is incredible!

I had my surgery on May 4th. I am down 41 pounds. I have promised myself to only weigh once a week because otherwise it does seem way too slow. I don't know how much you have to loose, but they told me the less you have the slower the loss. I have 100 pounds to loose. Surely your clothes are fitting differently? I am enjoying that aspect. Not to mention the increased energy, comments from people and all those benefits. I am just enjoyig the trip and glad I am not still on a liquid diet! LOL

Hello everyone! I was 10 weeks out yesterday and i'm down 47 lbs. I was hoping to hit the 50lb mark this week but i actually had a slight gain of 2 lbs then lost it again...grrrr Oh well, i'm still thrilled with my progress, all my clothes are hanging on me, i get so many compliments at work and from friends and family. I'm enjoying this ride for sure! I have only had a few minor issues along the way, one being constipation...this seems to bother me most. I've gotten food stuck on 3 occaisions and had to throw it back up. Not a fun experience! Other than that, i'm doing great! "May" we all have continued success and wonderful WOW moments!!! Robin

I'm 3 months out to the day and have lost 49.5 pounds. I lost 29 pounds the 1st month, 8 pounds the 2nd month, and 12.5 pounds the 3rd month. It seems like the pattern I've had for the last two months is I will stall for a couple weeks (3 weeks the 2nd month), then drop 4-6 pounds, then stall for another week or two. I am never able to get in the 2 quarts of water a day that my doctor wants me to drink and that might be part of the problem. But I'm very happy with my weight loss--even if it is slow by some people's expectations. I've went from 270 (on my scales--273 on doctor's) down to 220.5. I'm off my diabetes meds, blood pressure is much better, sleep apnea is extremely better, and back pain was better as long as I was walking every day. However, I've been sick with bronchitus and sinusitus for 4 long weeks and haven't had the stamina to walk in this FL heat and humidity. I'm anxious to get started at the gym once I get well. All my muscles, esp. upper arms, are flabby.

well you have to look at it this way.....if we didn't have the surgery we'd be losing weight even slower and it would be alot harder since we'd still be hungry all the time...you don't want to drop alot of weight too fast....i'm sure that cannot be healthy....youre doing fine...
