Update on me (sorry a little long)

Sorry I haven't been around a whole lot. I have mostly been a lurker. So much has happened since I had surgery. I am not longer employed. My department was moved to Tampa, FL. It was either go with the job or no job. Well, my family and friends (not to mention my hubby has his own business) is here. I was a bit bummed about it. I loved my job and could have retired at it. Anyway, I am signed up to be a full-time college student. I am going to get my Associates degree. I have been taking a summer Algebra class and it has been kicking my but. So much to cram into a few weeks. I am glad I haven't been working so I can stay on top of it. My last class is Thursday when I have my final exam. I tried having a garage sale, and it didn't go too well. I have so many nice clothes I can't wear. I am definitely not complaining!!! I did tell my daughter I was a little upset at not being able to wear my favorite sweaters. She told me it's time to make new favorites. Gotta love her!!! I have been having a little eating issues lately. Snacking too much! Trying to nip that in the bud before it becomes a full blown problem. Old habits die hard!!!! I am so proud of our May group. Everyone seems to be doing pretty well. I am officially down 55 lbs. Thanks everyone for all the support!!! ~~Betsy

Watch out that hubby doesn't hire you as a free employee. My hubby has a biz and I got sucked in early. LOL It stinks when a job you love ends but maybe it's an omen that it's time you get extra time for you. You've started a new life anyway. Maybe this is giving you a chance to really take care of you for a change. Good luck on that final! I'm sure you'll do great!!! Are there any consignment shops near you? What about eBay? Try eBay with the clothes. I did really well last summer. I am hanging on to one long black sweater that I love. I'm in NJ and I can always layer, right? LOL I think we're all feeling that urge to snack. I was watching a show last night and I got hungry at 11 pm. Thank goodness I grabbed 2 oz of Corn Chex and not the Doritos my husband was eating by the bag full. Just remember Betsy. You're down 55 POUNDS! You're doing incredible!!! Stay away from the crunchies, keep chugging those fluids and you'll get right back on track. We're all proud of you!!!! * Cyndi *

Betsy, Sorry to here about your job, but perhaps wonderful new doors have yet to open. I am joining you on become a student again (however I am keeping my full time job too) You are doing awesome! But you are right I have found old habits are creeping back in for me too. It is funny , all the trouble I have had eating lately and one thing is for sure that I can eat something I should not eat every time! hang in there and update when you can! Donna

Hi Betsy, Sorry to hear about your job but when one door closes, another door opens so something better will come along. Congratulations on your 55 lb weight loss. I have lost 55 pounds too and I have also lost a lot of inches and feel wonderful. We Mayers are doing great! I have my favorite clothes too but I am now starting to buy new favorites and I am going to give mine to friends and enjoy seeing them wearing my favorites. Hey Betsy, Sorry to hear about your job Way to go on going back to school though...way to begin your new life. I'm also taking summer classes, advanced calculus is one of them, we should help each other out As for the clothes selling, try dropping stuff off at second-hand clothing stores, they'll buy back anything in decent condition...it's better than having it sit in boxes anyways!
