A voice from your future
Hello May babies!
I just wanted to pop my head in on your board as someone who had WLS a year after you did. I know that when I was newly post op I wanted so badly to look into the future. I had NO IDEA that the future would be SO awesome.
I started at 342 and right now am 164. I would ultimately like to get down to 140 but I feel a bit 'scrawny' these days. Yes you will say that one day too!
Yes, there is skin. But, it's also not the end of the world. I don't have a lot given my age, but I am hoping what is there will go away!!!
Just wanted to say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! It's hard every day and then one day you realize you are over a year out!
Rachael
Hi Rachael! Thank you so much for visiting us! I can't wait to be a year out. Sometimes I wish I had a crystal ball to see what May 2008 will look like for all of us. You've done fabulous! Loved reading your blog and best wishes with your calling. My longest online friend lives in Chattanooga. For me the last 10 weeks have been an interesting journey and I'm really loving how the future is going to look. You'll get those final pounds off but you look terrific now. Best wishes!!!!!

THANK YOU!
I was getting scared because I have heard so many people making comments about RNY patients regaining their weight and I am on a high right now because I am continuously losing and I feel so wonderful and I am so happy that I had the RNY done that it cheers me up to hear someone that is keeping the weight off and being positive about the RNY.
You made my day! We need more positive people like you around.
Hugs,
Esther
Rachael,
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and give us all a bit of hope that we too can make this work! I was just telling my family that even thought I have had this surgery and I see all the people who lose all the weight they want and I have already lost 57lbs I don't feel like I will ever be small. I'm sure this is just something that will come with time and I too will make it. Thank you again!
