I had RNY May 28th, they tried to do it laparoscopically, but ended up having to do it open. I've noticed a hardness under one of my laparoscopic incisions - is this normal?

I'm not sure but I know what everybody will say...Call your Doc.... Could be an adhesion, hernia or nothing at all Patti

Could be scar tissue, I had that build up after a biopsy I had and was told to massage it and it did go away.....but I would as they say "call you doctor" Donna

Show the doctor, but I have the same thing and my doctor said it is just scar tissue so I wouldn't worry about it. My doctor said that it takes a while to really totally heal and that the lump would get smaller and smaller. Hugs, Esther

My doctor said they use a screen material similiar to what they do for a hernia surgery at the incision site. Could be that.
