FLUID PILL????? LONG((((Sorry)
Hey Everyone-------I had been lingering around 247-250 for almost a whole month. One day I would weigh in at 247 and the next id be 250the next 248-----you get the idea. Well Anyways I called my surgeons office and they informed me that maybe I should increase my exercise----OKAY----done....still no weight loss. Well my job requires me to stand on my feet all day and I dont know if I posted it before about my pickle phase LOL but anyways I was craving pickles and I drank almost a whole jar of pickle juice within a matter of 2-3 weeks just a sip here and a sip there. I know I know this is bad well I have learned my lesson from this because My legs looked like elephant legs----My doctor says that I have the congenital lipiedma and have had that for years. Well I had thrown all my fluid pills away so I call the surgeon and my doctor and ask about them. Welll after alot of fussing with my personal doctor he finally decides to give me the pilll at a lose dose 12.5 because he is worried about my BP going to low and the possibility of dehydration. I get the pills and BAM after taking it for two days I am down to 239. I havent taken the fluid pill in 2 days now and I am still going down on the scale. My legs look ALMOST normal again and I can fit my rings. So I have come to the conclusion that my body may retain up to maybe 10 pounds of fluids. I will not take the pill everyday so that it wont lower my blood pressure. I am gonna talk with my dr and maybe work out a plan like maybe take the pill 2x a week or even once a week. I am hoping that maybe he will do this for me atleast till I reach my goal weight. I am reallly trying to find low sodium foods to eat but alot of time I end up eating tuna or some other canned source of protein and NO MORE PICKLE JUICE!!!!(((LOL))). Well I just wanted to share my experience with you all. It fellls sooooo goood to be a LOSER! It is hard for me to imagine that someday soon I will look like a normal person walking through walmart----I will fit right in and not be the fattty in the store. I have seen some of my old eating habits trying to creep back in------but this time around i am realizing what im doing so I can change that behavior-----I want this to work for me sooo bad.... okay, well i haven't been drinking pickle juice, but i have been craving salt, and putting it on everything. i got pretty swollen too and found some of my old water pills (which my surgeon told me not to take) and took them anyway.... i only lost about 1lb. i wish my story ended like yours!! but then again, i didn't drink a whole jar of pickle juice!! lol, that's pretty funny. congrats on the weight loss, you look a lot thinner in your picture than what you say your weight is.
LOL I am serious I was thinking all the time about sipping the juice.......I would go 5-6 times a day to drink the juice out the jar....My pickles are dried out now.LOL I started out at 296 and today I am 239. I too had been craving pickles, olives etc. My nut. said she had read an article in a magazine that stated if you craved salt that you were low on protein. And she has noticed that seems to hold true especially with her new surgical pts.
I had been having alot of trouble getting in all my protein. I'm doing much better lately and the cravings are gone. Cheryl
Oh yeah???? Well I have been trying to get more protein in as well and I have noticed to that I can just bypass the pickle juice and pickles when I go in the fridge....((((LOL)))))I havent had the urge to sip out the pickle jar lately. BUt I have found rice cakes!!!!!!(((((LOL)))))I WILL NOT buy anymore once these are gone((LOL)). I LOVE them and want to eat them all the time......so no more rice cakes for me after this bag is gone I will resist the temptation!!!! Well thanks everyone for the input.
