Posture

Hi- Is anyone else having problems with posture and back pain since surgery? I brought it up in my support group and the leader said to get it documented to help with plastics. It's like my top is too heavy. I was thinking she would recommend some exercises or Yoga but the other people in the meeting that had the same problem didn't do anything for it either. Is anyone else having this issue and are you trying anything to help with it? Patti

Hi there Patti, I've had back pain also since surgery, but I had it before surgery too. I'm only 8 weeks out so I attributed the pain to overcompensating with my back muscles to protect my abdominals. I see that you and I both are patients of UMCF. Which support group do you attend? Erin

I've had several people tell me that I am walking all stooped over. I have had some back and side pain. I was surprised to see someone else having the same problem. I am going to mention it to my doctor in September. I was beginning to think it was because I have spent so much time sick over the toliet.
