10 weeks out
Everyone loses at differnt rates depending on how much they have to lose, body types etc. But 34lbs is nothing to sneeze at. That averages to 3lbs a week which is a slow steady pace (great for your skin). but I would look into what you are eating (calorie count) and types of foods. Are you getting in the 60-80 grams of protein, drinking water, and excercise....how much are you getting? You might want to talk with your NUT and review your diet....see if there is anything there. But I have heard of plateaus at this stage.....sounds like you are on track. I am assuming you had RNY did not verify that before I started this post.
Hi, I too am loosing very slowly. 10 weeks out and I have lost 32 lbs total, 7 lbs from liquid diet. I am having sugar once a day (lowfat, low calorie ice cream sandwich) and lowfat yogurt (Dannon lowfat), is my staple. I am going to write down everything I eat and measure everything for the next couple of days so that I can see what I am actually taking in.
I started at 252, lost 7 on liquid diet, now am at 220. I have been exercising 4-5 week, but just started 1 week ago really sweating and getting heart rate up. I have been jog/walking.
My husband said he thought I was eating too much the other day, and I took great offense to that......now, I am thinking he is right.

I wish i have lost 34lbs in 10 weeks! lol At 2months i have lost 24lbs. Im told in chat the lighter we started, often the slower it comes off (surgery i was 213, had already lost from 230)
Funny, preop, 34 lbs in 10 weeks would have been a miracle! I only lost 5 lbs my whole 2nd month, and i was throwing up everything i ate!
Be patien****ch your sugar. (we're basically told..dont eat sugar, ever. I think its a carb deal, that can easily send us back to old patterns depending on what your eating issues were. I prefer carbs. they stay down better.. dont make me sick, etc. And, dont let you lose weight.
Are you the Krissy thats been in chat the last couple days?
Good luck!
Suzanne

Krissy,
I have lost 27.5 since surgeru May 2nd.................. Not everyone has these blowout losses. I know that at ny age, I have confused this ole body so many times from all the dieting, it is just in protection mode............... And, I haven't exercised as much as I need to, and I am terrible about the water!! So, I know that I am not gonna be a speed demon............... I may be the tortoise in the race, but I still intend to make it to that finish line!! And, you will, too!! Just keep on working at it, girl.............!!

Keep your chin up!! You are doing fine. Everyone loses at different rates. I am considered a "slow" loser but heck!!! I'm still losing the weight. I have lost a total of 54 pounds..39 since my surgery on 5/7. I am elated at that. Plus, I am really seeing the inches fall off. Have you been measuring??
Hugs!!
