50 pounds gone....
Hi Esther! Actually it was 30lbs gone forever!! And this time I am not to go bac****il 6 months out. So I guess that means I need to go buy a scale. Can't wait that long to weigh in again. but he said things are going well.....oh and my scar moved. He pointed out that my inscion that was well below my ribs is now up on my ribs meaning my skin is tightening which he said is a good sign. I am happy about that....prepared to have PS but hey if I can spare some that would be nice!
Donna
Alright DONNA!
I know you must feel good losing thats much weight. I am happy for you. Wow, I wish my skin would shrink. My legs and arms are getting loose skin but I am 60 years old so that is to be expected. After I reach my goal, I am going to get all my skin removed.
I wish they had had this surgery when I was young. Sounds like you are doing great. I don't have a scale either and need to get one.
Keep up the good work.....
Hugs,
Esther
Hi Esther! I'm actually doing pretty well now. Now that hubby has his crisis over we had a delayed July 4th cookout. I couldnt stand it so he made me a tiny burger. I know a lot of people have problems with ground beef and steak this early out. I did GREAT with that tiny burger. I am just so messed up. My aunt's stepdaughter had her RNY about 3 or 4 years ago and she sent me a big care package of stuff she doesn't use anymore. There were some terrific things in there and I'm doing much better with protein. There was even a packet to make chocolate chip protein cookies. Okay, they're tiny but boy were they good. Maybe that's why I'm getting more energy......thank goodness. But, all in all, I'm completely inspired by the gang here so I just keep writing down everyones suggestions and trying different things.
Hubby blew it taking my 6 week photos (he was sick) so I'm taking 7 week photos. My dad came over yesterday and said "crap, your shorts are HUGE on you!". I've never had a bigger compliment from my daddy! He said if he were younger he'd do it himself!

Hi Cyndi,
I am so glad that you are doing better. I haven't found anything yet that I can't eat. I had a protein burger from Inn-N-Out with the lettuce wrapped around it for the bun and it was wonderful. I have been starving for cucumbers so I had some with ranch dressing and it went down just fine.
So your shorts are falling off huh.....that's a good sign. I know you must look absolutely beautiful. Your hubby is probably jumping your bones! It was all worth it but you sure had your ups and downs in the beginning. I must have iron intestines because nothing upsets me. I must be doing something right because my clothes are getting loose too.
Keep up the good work and ask your aunt's stepdaughter where she got the chocolate chip protein cookie mix. I would love to eat one of those. Sounds yummy!
Love ya,
Esther
Thanks Betsy,
I guess I am eating right, and so far everything is going down easily and as long as I am losing, I am okay. I just have to stop eating after 20 minutes because someone told me that we are full after 20 minutes. I also chew my food into liquid before swallowing. I just don't want to stretch my pouch....that's my biggest fear.
At least I have all of you to encourage me.
Hugs,
Esther
