Hi There! Glad you came here...we're all here to support each other! Sounds like you need to talk to your surgeon or your Nut. Maybe try just some really small servings of SF Jello or Pudding? Or even go back to some broth? At this point, you may want to try anything that will stay down... Either way- I would 100% get in touch with your doc! GOOD LUCK! Kathy

Hey, I'm also 20 years old, and I had just a few weeks before you... I agree with Kathy about calling your surgeon. Is this a sudden problem? Or have you never been able to tolerate actual food? Seems to me like your pouch is giving you more trouble than it should Keep us posted!

Ugh! I went through that for a few weeks. My surgery was 5/25. As everyone else said, call your doctor! For me it was the pesky flu rearing its ugly head. lol I still can't stomach the protein shakes so I'm doing protein as best I can. But, thankfully, I can actually eat a slice of toast now. LOL Hang in there and call your doctor!!!!! * Cyndi *

Hi CL- It seems like lots of people go through these phases where they can't eat or stomach anything. I don't think you are alone and everyone gave you good advice. 60 pounds is awesome and you should feel great about that. I frequently feel like I am failing. I read that you lost 60 pounds already and feel like a failure. God my head is so messed up sometimes. What I try to do is just stay the course. Eat my protein first, get my walks in, take my vitamins. Wash , rinse, repeat. The weight will come off in it's own good time. Plus keep coming here to vent LOL Patti

Patti: I did the same thing.. 60lbs? and thought of how little i have lost. My surgery was 2 months ago. im down.. maybe 25 lbs on a good day? It just doesnt seem fair. Im probably the only one who can spend every day throwing up whatever i try, and not lose. lol Hang in there. Suzanne

Suzanne- Isn't it funny how are brains work sometimes. If I had lost 25 pounds in two months prior to surgery I would be ecstatic. Now when I do the compare thing with others on the site it seems so slow. I look at the 172 pounds I would like to lose and it seems like I barely made a dent. You hang in there too Patti

Hey I am 6 weeks out and having the same problem. Up until about 4 weeks I was doing fine but now I can't quick throwing up if I eat the smallest amount of protein. I had an upper GI yesterday and the surgeon said everthing is fine. They think the problem is either drainage from my sinuses, taking Clariton twice a day or the window of misery when everything is healing and very rigid. They tell me that it to will pass but this is getting old. I am down 33 lbs since the surgery, 5/18/07 but not feeling very good. Hang in there.
