Hello everyone that had their surgery in May. I also had my surgery in May. On May 29th I had RNY. I would love to have a chat session with some other people that had their surgery around the same time that I did. Please keep me posted and keep up the good work everyone. Happy weightloss to all. Hugz Tina

Hi Tina! I also had my surgery on the 29th! So how is it going for you. What stage of food are you on? I am actually still on pureed until I see my doctor next week but my Nut told me a few things of softs I coudl start trying so I have been experimenting with those and that has opened my horizons a bit. Looking forward to weighing in at the Dr visit nexk week though. Donna

Hey thanks for thinking of me.....I am doing okay. I have been able to do most foods I have tried so far. I got some protein powder from walmart which I could actually do ------BUT I have found out that milk just may have too much sugar in it cause it makes me queasy every time I drink some. The last maybe three or four days I have sucked at my diet and eating things I shouldnt eat ---- like half a hamburger from Hardees. I definately need to stay away from the resturants......I bought sugar free cookies and I have only eaten 1 and a half but still I feel like I should try to stay away from those too. I ALSO bought sweet freedom ice cream the chocolate with vanilla inside ( I ate one) I guess I am getting a sweet tooth since I have not been having my carbs.....THAT I LOVE.....which is kinda weird because I have done good staying off the carbs which was my weakness before surgery....I have never been a real big sweet eater but I have been wanting a cookie.....And PICKLES LOL...I drank some pickle juice the other day.... So you see I have sucked at my diet and I really need to get back on track before I blow my WLS......

oh pickles!!! I could so eat a pickle right now. We had so much food at work for the 4th! I could pass all the carbs and sweets no problem (well except the mashed potatoes they were made with me in mind wasn't that nice LOL!) BUT there was a relish tray pickles and olives and I could smell them while everyone was eating....so bad I could taste it. Someone said oh I guess we should not be talking about all these cookies and cakes in front of you. I told them not to worry did not want them, but keep me away from the pickles Donna

Hi Patti, I am doing great. I have lost 50 pounds so far and my clothes are really baggy. I would do the surgery over again in a heart beat. I never really had any trouble and food (everything so far) goes down just fine. I mainly stay on protein but I have been craving salads so I ate one and it went down just fine too. Soft vegetables taste wonderful too. How are you doing? That was sweet of you to think of TRob and Carol and I. Hugs, Esther
