I had a funny 'wow' moment today

Alright, so as some of you know, I still live home with my parents...and even though I do buy some groceries if I need to (ie, I usually get a bag a week of snacks and stuff for work) but this week my family is on vacation, leaving me on my own in a house with no food. Anyhoo, I went to do some grocery shopping this morning and I started laughing all by myself at the cash register. Not a single thing in my basket was frozen/processed/pre-made. I had never seen a basket so full of healthy food! I used to be so embaressed to go grocery shopping because I used to get junk and walking down the aisles, I felt people's judgements. I love discovering new foods. Especially in the organic aisles. I'm trying to buy as organic as possible, which is hard, but really fun! I'm really excited to get cookin'...I LOVE cooking and haven't really had a chance to really play around in the kitchen since my surgery. This should be fun... PS I found a pair of sweatpants I bought 4 years ago and never wore because they were way too tight. Not only did I wear them grocery shopping, but I kept having to pull them up because they were falling the entire time!

Laughing right a long with ya! My underwear are so big these days that I can pull them up over the waistband of my shorts and roll them down...LOL My friends keep saying, "Geesh, just spend the ten bucks and buy some smaller ones." I just can't or I think I'd have to "spend the ten dollars" for new ones every month. Congrats on your success

I'm with you in the store. I spend a lot of time just looking for the "healthy foods" lol Yesterday I was at the store for 30 minutes looking for 1 item. I couldn't find it so I went home without it. We had shrimp and I made a sauce to go with and everyone thought it was to die for. I agree I wish I could have eaten more LOL. I hope you have fun cooking and grats on the sweats being to big..Isn't that a good feeling? ~Hugs~ Rebecca

Hey Chantal, I wanted to know what you actually bought I had a "I think I am pregnant morning". I woke up late 11:30 and proceeded to make deli ham and laughing cow light garlic cheese roll ups for breakfast. They were delicious My clothes are big but so are my hips and I've just been letting everything ride on them. My underwear is becoming insta thongs cause my butt isn't filling them out the same way Nice to hear everyone is doing so well. At least the ones that are posting. Patti

@ insta thong! That made me spit out my food... I bought so many things, I can't wait to experiment. -Black and kidney beans (which I made a fantastic chili with tonight) -Whole wheat linguine (to make frittata) -Whole wheat couscous -Tons of meats. Rib-eye steaks (they were on sale, I got a great deal on them), flank steak, ground turkey, ground beef, pork chops, chicken breasts. -Soy nuts -Soy burgers -SF hot chocolate -Egg whites -A bunch of fruits/veggies -Yogurt -Veggie sausages -Other nuts. All un-roasted, un-salted. Yesterday I grilled the flank steak and it was amazing, so moist, I had no problems eating it. I had some leftover for breakfest. I nearly cried I was so happy...I was getting so sick of chicken And then tonight I improvised and made an amazing chili with the extra-lean ground beef and turkey, and even cut up some veggie sausages. So yummy!
