"WHEY GOURMET" protein....

due to it recently being raised that some proteins break down after about 30 minutes, I would like to share the following regarding "Whey Gourmet"... (which I love and are in yummy flavours - available at GNC and WalMart)... To: [email protected] Subject: Whey Gourmet I have recently had gastric bypass surgery and take 2-3 protein shakes a day... recently I was told that I must consume it within 30 minutes or it starts to break down. I checked with Dr Monica Ganz and her reply is "Different proteins break down at different rates. Some need to be drunk in 30 minutes and others can be made in the morning and drunk all day - The best thing to do is to place a call to the manufacture of the protein powder that you are making and ask them." So, my question is regarding once it is "activated" from dry status what is the length of time I have to consume this product as I am finding it takes me nearly 2 hours to drink my shakes! ________________________________________________________________ Hi Erin: That is interesting, as I am not aware of a protein that breaks down after it has been mixed, at least not a whey protein. For our Whey Gourmet you can mix that in the morning and drink it throughout the day, you don't need to worry about it breaking down. Good luck! Thanks for sharing....I use the vanilla nice to know as I spread it out in the marning and drink it in 2 ounce increments.
