HI EVERYONE

I know its been along time since I posted please forgive me I have been just reading everyone else and trying to absorb it all ! Does anyone know when or if we are supposed to start taking iron supplements? Thank you krissy b

Good Morning and Hi, I am 6 weeks out and my surgeon advised me to start 30 mg a day at five weeks. You should always check with your surgeon first though. maxine

Hi Krissy- I'm about a month out now and I have been taking them ever since I left the hospital. Guess this is another case of every doc is different. I would check with your surgeon or your Nut. Kathy

Check with your nutritionist!! These kinds of questions are not for us to answer.

Mine told me only to take them if my blood work came back anemic. So I won't know that until my three month check up.

i was told to only take them during my period.......every doctor is sooooooo different so its best to just ask them

Wow, so different for everyone! I too have been taking them since I left the hospital.

I have been taking them since I was 2 weeks out. Everyone's Dr.'s recommend differently. I would check with your Surgeon's office.

I started after my 2 week post op visit....but as it has been said before....check with your DR and see what they say.

Almost 5 weeks out & I've been taking them since the day I left hospital. Yucky though...
