car accident...need pain relief...

Hi all, I've had a really crappy day. Got up to go to work, made it there ok through the thick fog. Went to run an errand and got T-boned in my own vehicle. I'm so damn mad that I didn't take a company vehicle. This kid wasn't paying attention, ran a stop sign and hit me. I saw he was going to not stop so I gunned it as to try to avoid a collision since I was almost through the intersection...I didn't make it. He hit me so hard I *****ompletely around and I about flipped it. Glad I was paying attention though because it could have hit me right on the driver's door. I didn't go to the hospital because I wasn't bad at first. Once the adrenaline wore off OMG I am so so so sore. Tylenol is a joke. Called my surgeon and no answer. Ideas for pain relief? Think I can take a few advil or some vicodin from a previous kidney stone to try to get some rest? I'm going to the Dr. tomorrow to make sure nothing is wrong. My incision site is really sore too and that never hurt before. Anyway, just had to vent. So emotionally drained...my vehicle was my pride and joy. Just glad my daughter or husband were not with me. jamie, i am so thankful it was not any worse!!! make sure you do go to the dr. i still have some liquid pain med that the dr sent me home with after surgery. if i lived close it would be yours. you definitly have alot of angels with you. we can replace the car but not you or our loved ones. please update us after the dr app tomorrow. hang in there... best wishes tina

Hey Jamie- Don't take the Advil it's one we are not supposed to take. Go to the ER and get something real. Patti

Hey Girl, Sorry to hear you had such a bad day and your hurting Sorry about your car. My surgeon offered me vicodin after my surgery so I'm sure its ok to take. If I hurt bad enough I would take it. You should be seen ASAP just to make sure your doing ok. Hugs and Call me Rebecca

Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you were not hurt badly. Your car can be replaced, you can't. (Even though it stinks having to get it fixed or replaced!)

Jamie, that completely sucks! I had the same accident about 12 years ago. The jerk killed my baby car. Even though you didn't feel bad right after the accident, you should have gone to the hospital just in case. I'm glad you're relatively okay. Go see the doctor today. * Cyndi *

Yikes Jamie! That is a bad day... I agree with everyone- if you see your doctor, he may be able to give you some liquid pain meds that you can take. I was told not to take Advil and I can imagine that Tylenol isn't such a big help, so hopefully the doc can give you something stronger. Hope you're feeling better soon! Kathy
