excercise?

ok kids....i'm on my 6th week and have no idea when i should start excercising! what exactly should i do for excercise to start with? any input will help thanks

Hi Liz! Well, I'm sure all of our surgeons have told us all kinds of different things. My surgeon told me to walk, walk, walk as soon as I could. He told me around week 6 I could find something to start toning the rest. Honestly, I'm dusting off my Richard Simmons videos to do some toning. I'm a stay-home mom so a gym membership is totally out of my price range. I'm sure the rest of the gang will give you some great ideas. * Cyndi *

For me personally, I love to do the walk away the pounds videos. I'm able to walk at home in the cool house-- which I love! I too also love the Richard Simmons videos but I'm going to wait atleast 2 more weeks prior to trying those. I think any exercise is good exercise though!

Hi Liz, I was told at 4 weeks. I go to Curves 5-6 days a week plus I swim in our pool doing laps. That being said...CALL YOUR SURGEON to see what he says!! Everyone is so different because of how the actual surgery went and what kind of surgery you had. Congrats on being a loser!! Hugs, Heather 239/195/130

I went for my six week check up today and the doctor released me to do whatever exercises I want to do now including working out on our bowflex. Yeah!!! Up to today he had me walk, walk, walk. Call your doc and ask!
