Hi Rebecca, I didn't even know they have you give you your own shots. That seems weird to me but I can try it. My son is a doctor so I could get him to give it to me because I don't think I could give myself a shot. I am going to ask my doctor about that. Thanks, Esther

my B12 levels got very dangerously low 3 years ago - ever since I have been giving myself a monthly injection - I take it in my tummy - no sensation there from 2 prior c-sections - I inject 1cc sub-coutaneously... my B12 levels are just fine now. It costs me about $12 for the year (including the needles and serum)... it is not a big deal - I take it the 15th of each month.

Did your surgeon who did your surgery give you a prescription for them? I will have to ask him about getting a prescription. My tummy is numb too so I could probably give it to myself there. I never thought of that. Thanks, Hugs, Esther

No Esther - I have been taking them for a number of years now... and they are available here (Ontario, Canada) OTC - just ask the pharmacist.

Hey Beautiful.... It's good to see your beautiful face on here. I am going to try the shots. One girl does it in her tummy where it is numb and I have a numb area in my tummy so I will give it to myself there. I miss you...give me a call if you have a chance. I am here at work. Love you, Sis

Hi Esther, My surgery is 7/6/07, needless to say i'm excited, just started my 2 wk. liquid diet and I'm getting b-12 shots every week and to be honest I can't tell any difference at all. Maybe after the surgery it may be different, dont know. glad your feeling better. later, sandy
