what to eat????

i just had surgery on the 14th and I was wondering what were some of the first semi solid food that some of you guys ate......... i really want some cream of wheat or mash potatoes.......how did that work out??? And how long after surgery did you guys try them?

well i ate potato spuds, betty crocker makes some good ones...yummy flavors! scrambled egg, and light and fit yogurt that i think dannon makes....sugar free pudding is ok too...cream of wheat should be fine for you....personally i wouldn't eat it if my life depended on it...lol i was able to start it on week 2 after my surgery...hope this helped...good luck... lizzie

Hi Katie- Congrats on your surgery! The first foods that I tried were cream of wheat, sugar free pudding, hummus, refried beans...stuff like that. I haven't had any problems with it so far! Good Luck! Kathy

Anything that is soft. I had chicken put in a blender and tuna mixed with Mayo. You can also have strained creamed soups. Cream of wheat is great and very smooth. Hugs, Esther
