Friday: Did You Move Today??
TGIF Everyone!!
Anyone have good weekend plans? I'll be heading to Williamsburg, VA to Busch Gardens on Saturday. Can't wait to ride the coasters! And this time- I KNOW I'll fit!
So...............What did you do to MOVE today??
I'll be hitting the gym later this afternoon again- it's great to be back in the swing of things!
Happy Friday!
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Have a great time at Busch Garden!!! I love it there. It must be so exciting to be able to ride the coasters...ENJOY!!!!!!!
Took the morning walk with my son and my daughter joined in since school is out. Plan on walking more tonight...I am so glad that my kids love walking and they motivate me.
Going to the PA support meeting tomorrow and really looking forward to it. It will be my 1st time there post-op. Sunday planning on having a cookout for father's day.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Kelly
Hi Kathy,
You know you'll fit, huh? Good for you! So where are the new pictures? At the very least, I want to see a pic of you at Busch Gardens next week, OK? We used to live near the one in Tampa and went there a lot. I wrote an essay about it once which is still online. http://www.epinions.com/kifm-review-1FE4-3BDF629-39AF44BD-prod1
I am happy to say I finally got my FitSense pedometer up and running. Haven't used it since 2002 and it was a little finicky. But perseverance prevailed! The really cool thing is I can now share my workout log with everyone (see link below). As you can see from the chart, I walked 2.34 miles in 52 minutes and the heart rate got to 145. I had a little problem with the heart rate monitor so the average heart rate is low. Back in 2002 I was walking faster and I need to work up to that pace again. Of course, the street I live on now has 110 feet of rise which I traverse about one and a half times and that slows me down a lot.

This weekend we are going to the Blue Ridge Parkway around Boone, Linville and Little Switzerland, NC. We will probably stop at Grandfather Mountain and the Linville viaducts. I will bring the pedometer along just to see how strenuous the trails we find are. I have a contour map of the mountain and it makes my 100 foot elevation look pitiful!
Enjoy Busch Gardens and your weekend!
