Wow congrat on that amazing weight loss. I think your right on with the amount of food 1/4 to 1/2 a cup. All the dr's are so different but I was told 1/4 to 1/3 at this point and I'm 5 weeks also. Sorry to hear you can't do meat yet hang in there I hope it gets better soon. I"m sick of beans so I can imagine you are too!

Way to go on the weight loss! I haven't got to meat yet and I just hope it stays down when I do. I'm supposed to be on mushy foods through Week 6. But I'm learning to put protein powder in whatever I can. Making peach Jello with Nectar Peach protein is almost bearable. Are you supplementing? Counting protein grams? Drinking shakes?

wow! you go girl! i'm almost 5 weeks and only dropped like 30lbs....i'll take it though....i'm older too so it's going to be more stubborn....your doctor said you can eat 1/4 to a 1/2 cup of food? according to my little nutrition sheet i'm only supposed to be eating 1 oz of food at a time and it should be moosh....THEYRE HIGH!!!! LOL i usually eat a couple of slices of thinly sliced american cheese (screw the low fat) lol and i eat a weigh****chers smart one meal that takes 2 days too eat half of one...lol hey compared to the way i used to eat this is a miracle in itself....lol keep up the good work...

Hey, thanks so much for the encouragment from all of you! I quit using the protein supplements because I ended up with a kidney stone! OUCH! Something I've had several times in the past so I knew what it was when I started feeling the pain. Supposidly the protein powders can bring on kidney stones. So I dont know if that is what happened or if it was just time again for one on my own. So I make sure I eat alot of beans, beans and more beans! lol If you check your labels some have up to 12 mg of protien per serving and ofcourse fiber which you need when eating all those darn beans. And all you need is a couple spoons full to reach your protien goal several times a day. Half the time I'm full after the beans! I hope in the not so distant future I am able to eat salads and some CHICKEN!!
