Hi everyone. I got home yesterday. I had open RNY so I feel like I've been run over by a truck. But, I'm doing much better today. Today's my birthday and it's really not the way I wanted to spend it. But, I'm on the losing side finally and each day gets better I'm sure. I'm wishing all of you the best. To all of you having surgery in the next few days you're in my thoughts. To those in the recovery process, I feel for you all. Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!!!! I'm off for a walk and another popsicle. * Cyndi * 4 Days Post-Op

Wow Cyndi, you had open RNY and you are up walking already? You are doing great. I am so happy for you. It sounds like everything went well for you. The soreness will get less and less everyday. I am so happy for you and I can honestly tell you, I would do it again. Today is my first day back to work and I am only 3 weeks Post-op. This is the greatest surgery ever. We are losers now and that's so great. In three weeks (which goes by really fast) you will feel like a million bucks. Hugs, Esther

Cyndi! I'm glad it all went well for you! I obviously was not able to post my support for you the day before your surgery since I was recovering in the hospital from mine, but I was praying for you and thinking about you on Friday. Did you plan on having an open RNY? OUCH! I'm still a bit sore but every day gets better and better. Walking is by far the best thing to keep from getting stiff or sore so you go girl, walk, walk, walk! Here's to all of us losers! Jan K.

I'm so happy to be back on this forum. I missed you all a lot. It was always going to be open RNY. I'm still hurting but the walking does help a lot. I see him again Thursday morning so I'm hoping the drain goes. I'm just loving jello and the SF popsicles. lol Hubby's printing my pre-op pics and I'll start my scrapbook. I'm happy to be done and a LOSER! * Cyndi *

My surgeon told me beef and chicken broth are fine. Mark made me some chicken broth and I just couldn't get it down. I'm loving jello and popsicles. LOL * Cyndi *

Cyndi, Great to hear that everything went well and that you are home. You are definitely on the losing side now! I have had my physical with my physcian, and I still have to have my endiscope and my psch evaluation--then it goes to my insurance for approval. I have Humana. They also ask for a 6-month supervised physcian diet, but my surgeon's office says that they might be able to go around this with the referral letter from my doctor (it is being sent this week). If all goes well, I hope to have the surgery within the next month or so--hopefully as soon as possible. My BMI is 41.9 and I am desperately in need of this surgery. I honestly feel that this is my chance to get my life back. Wish me luck. Congratulations and hoping to learn of your ongoing weight loss. : - ) Brenda Hamilton, Ohio

Hi Cydni, Dee from Atlantic City here. I was wondering how you made out glad to hear all went well. I am set for the 6th, day three of my liquid diet. How are you feeling? It sounds like your husband is a wonderful support person.
