I had read in someones profile about Unjury. It is good and not a big aftertaste. It comes in lots of flavors and also soup. My surgery is Tuesday and I have stocked up for postop. Hope this helps. (unjury.com) Mel

Hi Jennifer- I have tried about a million different protein powders. The ones that I ended up liking the best are the Nectar- it comes in a bunch of different fruit flavors. You can find it at www.bariatriceating.com. Good Luck! Kathy

Hi Jennifer, I had my surgery in April and I like unflovored Unjury. I had bought one of each flavor before surgery, but find the unflavor the best. I mix with Crystal lite as a snack. Or use the Chocolate with milk which is good also. When you order from www.Unjury.com they also send a few reciepts you can try. Before surgery I use to like the Chicken broth, but my tasted changed after surgery so for some reason I can not eat it anymore. I will try again in a couple of months. Good Luck. Dani

Hi Jennifer, I am 10 days post op and was given protein from my surgeon to use. I can't use it...too sweet. So I found some that I really like. I use GNC's 100% Whey Pro Performance in Strawberry and Cookies and Creme. Both are good. My favorites are Syntrax Nectar Fuzzy Navel...I mix with jus****er or lemonade crystal light and also really like Matrix 5.0 Chocolate. Both I got from www.bariatriceating.com and the Matrix I mix with milk and heat it up to 125 degrees...tastes just like hot chocolate with really no aftertaste. I am not a big fan of Unjury. I got some samples and the aftertaste bothers me more than others. Take care and good luck! Jamie

I had my surgery the day after you. I feel like I am loosing slowly too. It may be because I am expecting daily movement which might be unrealistic. I love the unjury chocolate. I blend it with chocolate soy milk and crushed ice cubes. It tastes like a choc milk shake. I tried the strawberry and it wasn't as good. The vanilla is pretty good. Try cutting fruit into it and crushed ice. Good luck. amari

Hi Jennifer, First of all congrats to your new beginning I also had my surgery on may 9th. I was feeling like you, the weight is coming off slowly. but my sister reminded me that at least it is coming off and wont be back!! Not only are we loosing weight we are getting our life back and becoming healthy. remember to get excersise in, that is really important. i have found that to be very helpful. i use unjury protein. love it!!! all the suggestions on how to use it, i use it. i also use the strawberry unjury in crystal light, the flavor is raspberry lemonade, i add a whole scoop of the unjury which is 20 grams of protein. so i am getting liquid and protein. unjury is the best that i have tasted. i cant keep my 2 1/2 yr old son out of my drinks. stay focused and i know we both will have great results.. best wishes tina

I am using Proteinex, it is a liquid protein in a bottle you take two tablespoons for 15 grams of Protein, you take it like cough syrup it comes in two flavors, cherry vanilla and orange. I did use GNC's whey protein before surgery but about a week before I started not being able to get it in.

I'm gonna add my 2 cents to the Unjury fan club. It's awesome! You can add the unflavored powder to broth or jello and not taste a thing.
