Trouble swallowing pills!!!

Ok.....I am so frusturated. I am having so much trouble swallowing my meds. It doesn't matter what size they are, small, or large it feels like they just stay in my throat and won't go down for hours. This is miserable. Has this happened to anyone else and if so what the heck did you do??? I took one about 11:00 a.m. and I can still feel the stupid thing in my throat. I try swallowing, sipping water and even had some cream soup which was a little bit thicker than water and nothing helps. Please any suggestions would be appreciated! Michele

I haven't been able to swallow pills either, no matter how small they are. I think it's because I have to take big gulps of water to get them down...and man does that hurt, and make me nauseous. I have been crushing them and putting them in yogurt, and having that twice a day.

Thanks Chantal, I think I will call the pharmacy and ask about my pills and find out if they are okay to crush. I hate this so much it is absolutely miserable. Hugs, Michele

I understand! The only pill I can swallow is the iron...but even that, I feel it travel all the way down

Arg I know how your feeling.. I have to admit I just stopped taking them. I need to get back but I can't stand it. I have thrown up a few times after taking them and they STILL don't come up. I hate hate hate taking pills. Hope this passes soon Rebecca

UGH I totally know what you're saying! I AM able to get my prilosec down withno problem, maybe because it is coated. but the vitamins I take, (zinc, biotin, selenium) I cant get down. I cut them into quarters with the pill splitter and they still get stuck. I give up!! It's time to crush them into pudding or yogurt to get them in.
