Hi Guys! I'm Home!

Hello Mayer's! I made it home yesterday around 3pm. I was too wiped to turn the computer on! My surgery went great! My surgeon said my liver was nice, small, and compact. He said my liquid diet must have been good. Everything else went great. I have hardly any pain,.. but the gas was unbearable at times. I'm finally able to pass some of it after I got home.. and even this morning... wheew. I'm tolerating fluids well...my carnation instant breakfast is good, water too.. but I tried some water with sugar free walmart brand crystal light stuff.. and it kinda hurts when it goes down. Guess I'll save that for awhile. Today I'm going to try the strained cream soup... see how that goes. Well,..time for me to lay down a bit. Kinda tired. Thanks all for the warm wishes, etc.

Congratulations Sara, I am happy for you and it sounds like you are doing great. My surgery was May 7th and I feel great too but still get tired. I love the crystal llite drink but I haven't tried the strained cream soups yet. I am on pureed protein and liquids. Take care and just remember that each day gets better and better. Hugs, Esther

Good for you, Sara!!! I'll bet you're glad the surgery is over! How long has your doc said your recuperation will take? Work? My surgery is 5/29 and I just can't wait. Anyway, I'm glad you made it thru without any complicaitons, must be a relief to know your OK. Good to hear what you said about the liq diet, I'm on day 6! Take care, Jean
