Stuff.........
Well, I went to my Dr. earlier this week and had my staples out. When we were all posting about pre op jitters, I really didn't have any. I knew mine would be post op. Well, glad to post that everything seems to be going alone fine. I was very nervous about not being able to keep food down or not being able to have a bowel movement. I have to say Thank God I don't have those problems. I am on pureed foods now. I have learned the signs of when my pouch is full. Pre op, I never seemed to be full, so that was a big concern for me as well. Anyway, I got my clearance to go back to work on May 29th. I know I will face some challenges there. I used to not drink enough at work. I am going to have to pay more attention to my needs.
Thanks for letting me ramble...........~~Betsy
Hi Bets,
Sounds like you are doing great. I go back to work next Wednesday and all they do at work is eat so that will be hard for me. I too am hungry and I asked the nurse why and she said we have a chemical that is released from our brain that tells us we are hungry even though our stomachs are the size of our thumbs.
I feel really good and just get tired towards the end of the day. How about you? This surgery really was easier than I thought it would be. Tuesday I get my staples and drain out....boy will I be glad.
We did it Bets.....we are LOSERS.
Love,
Esther
