Hello, I had surgery on 5/9/07. I have only lost one pound. is that normal? It has also been hard to drink my fluids. My doctor told me to drink 64 oz and I can barely get 24 oz in, it makes me too full. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hi...I had surgery in the beginning of April and I want to let you know. I had a hard time getting my water in too, but it is VERY important. I got dehydrated and it is not fun!! Also you might not notice the pounds yet but very shortly you will notice how your clothes feel. Best of Luck and try to really remember to sip...sip...sip You can always eat SF popcicles or broth. That counts towards your fluids.

I had that feeling exactly but you have to keep drinking. It could be leftover gas pressing on your pouch and making you feel full, but you aren't! Just keep taking little sips throughout the day, try adding crystal light if you can't handle the water. I drink more if it's flavoured. Best of luck!

Jennifer, I had surgery the same day as you. My net loss is 1 lb. I gained 9 lbs. from the IV fluids, finally got rid of that plus one more. It is a slow process. I also have trouble with drinking, but I carry a bottle of water with me everywhere. I'm trying to get 64 oz. of liquid in a day. Good luck, Susan
