IVE GAINED A POUND

Happy MOTHERS Day ooohkay whats going on surgery date M ay2nd pre-op weight 280 1 week post op down only 10 lbs today is MOTHERS DAY thought i would give myself a treat find out what i weigh i havee gained a pound whats going on i am not losing and gaing weight after all this................love Krissy

Krissy, If there is one thing I've learned at this OH site is that those who follow the post surgery rules, almost without exception, do the best. So, having said that, just be patient and follow those guidelines. Just try not to focus too much on the weight loss side of things (tough to do, I know), but on the good eating side and the weight will take care of itself in its own due time. I think that 10 pounds is a good weight loss and you should be commended for your fine start. Have a Happy Mother's Day. Recognizing 10 pounds gone forever... John

Krissy, Don't worry about it... On one week post op, my doctor told me that he was amazed that I didn't gain weight (even though I followed everything perfectly), I had lost only 1 pound in 1 week. BUT..... I had lost 26 pounds pre op, therefore, he wasn't expecting a loss. Then he told me to go ahead and start eating blended foods, then soft foods and keep trying what I can until I get to 'normal' foods again, that he wanted me to 'test' my pouch, make sure I know what hunger feels like, make sure what full feels like. He even told me not to worry if I gain before my next visit with him which is June 11th. Well, I feel like I am doing good, sometimes wonder if something is wrong with me because I have not had any nausea, problems with my stomach or anything else. I know that our surgeries are different, you had the RNY and I had Lapband so there might be a difference. I just wanted to tell you what my doctor said. You are doing great Just remember how far you have come, and how far you are going... Schatzi
