Surgery on Monday, 5/14

Well, here we are! I never thought this day would come, but I'm having my surgery the day after tomorrow. I've been doing the preop diet since Tuesday, and I've dropped about six pounds, which is really incredible for me. I can't wait to see what the surgery does for me. I am not particularly nervous about the surgery - I've had so many in the past. I'm just nervous about my "new" life - how to get all the fluid in, what I might be able to tolerate eventually, and how I can prevent myself from sabotaging myself! It will be an interesting ride, I'm sure! I'll check in as soon as I can! Wish my luck! Susan

Susan, Good luck on your surgery Monday, I will also be having my surgery on Monday. I still cant believe that it is almost here. I have to go on straight liquid diet tomorrow, my doc doesn't make you do the 10 day liquid diet. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. so I have to be at the hospital at 5:00 a.m. Congratulations on the preop weightloss. I will be seeing you on the loser's bench in a couple of days.
