Rebecca Caldwell Update...
Hi everyone!!
Just wanted to let everyone know how Rebecca is doing. She had her surgery around 7:30 am. She did very well, no complications. They were able to do it laproscopically which as you all probably know she was worried about her liver being too large. Apparently they had to make 7 incisions versus the 5 or 6 they told her about. They are not sure why they had to make 7 incisions, the surgeon had to rush off to another surgery.
I talked to David (her husband) around 12 central time so 10 am pacific and she was in the recovery room but doing well. I talked to David again around 3:00pm central time 1:00pm pacific and she was still doing well...she was pretty doped up yet but she wanted to talk to me. She was a bit froggy from the breathing tube and her mouth was dry but she had ice chips and sponges to help. I told her I would call tomorrow to see how she was doing and she wanted me to call again tonight to talk so after I talk to her again I will post another update. Keep her in your prayers for a continued complication free journey! (I'm surprising her with a care package, she will receive it on Saturday)

Hi again!
I just got done talking to Rebecca. She is sounding much better. She walked from the gurney to her bed right after surgery. She has walked once since then, got very dizzy so has rested since that episode. The surgeon came in to talk to her and said everything looked very healthy inside and the 7 incisions was normal...was not done for any other reason. She was going to try to get up and walk again before going to bed for the evening. She got to see her little boy, Gabriel, and she was happy about that. David is spending the night with her. She said she will call me tomorrow and wants me to call her also (probably to keep from boredom) but she has been in good spirits over all. She said she is in more pain than what she was expecting but is hoping it gets better. I will talk to her probably a few times tomorrow so will update again tomorrow night or will be on chat possibly tomorrow evening. Take care!!
Jamie
Jamie - thank you for such a good update on Rebecca. She is such a nice person, and I am really glad that she has had a good laproscopic surgery. It sounds like she has done well. It will be interesting to find out why 7 incisions versus 5 or 6. It's just my curiosity.
Next time you talk to her send her my love and encouragement! ...and yes, lets hope she continues on this troublesome free journey to healing!
