May 17th is quickly approaching
My surgeon has told me not to take any sleep aides or ibuprofin or aspirin or anything of the sort. So, sleeping has been a challenge. I just hope I don't get caught slobbering on my desk at work. Of course I have so much crap to do between now and then that I'm not sitting still long enough to get comfy. I remember when I had five weeks left. Where did the time go? It did fly like everyone said it would!
Me too me too!! May 17th for me too! LOL....
I keep reading about all these pre-admission testing... but I haven't been told anything by my clinic that I'd need any of these. I did see a PCP last week, but haven't had any tests run for 'pre-admission'. Well.. now that I think about it... I did have an EKG and Chest X-ray... and an Hpylori test... but this was back in Feb. My insurance required these tests to be finished before they'd review my case. I wonder if they are just calling these good enough for me.. and not making me do them agian. Hmmm.
I'm calling my surgeon's office tomorrow... cause I also want to know if my RNY is Distal or Prox.... so I'll ask about these tests too.. just for peace of mind.
Anyways..I can't beleive it is almost time!! I'm getting more and more nervous
Pretty soon we'll be on the losers bench... WOOOhOOO
Hi Kelly,
May 17th is also my day! Time is flying by and I keep thinking of more things that need to be done. Tomorrow I am going for my preadmission tests and surgeon consult. I am told that I have to do a gall bladder ultrasound, but I don't know what other tests are being done. I was not told to fast or do any pre-op liquid diet except for the day before surgery.
Best wishes for all the other 517ers. See you on the loser's team.
